Miss Baby Sol

“Her voice sounds like Miles Davis is playing it.” –  Will.I.Am

“I think she’s amazing and talented! You won’t be disappointed” –  Paloma Faith

Visiting Peggy’s for the first time, Miss Baby Sol performs her highly individual interpretations of jazz standards, blues, soul, funk & classics. A powerhouse performer, able to effortlessly weave an atmospheric sonic tapestry of genre-busting sensuality.

Born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, British Soul artist Miss Baby Sol has worked with artists including: Paloma Faith, Jamie Cullum, Jazz Jamaica, Laura Mvula, and Florence + the Machine.

Influenced by artists such as Nina Simone, Eartha Kitt, Grace Jones, Billie Holiday and Sarah Vaughan, Baby’s music encompasses powerful Soul, Jazz and Reggae.

She released her debut EP in 2011, which included three singles:
‘Always’, ‘No No’ and ‘She Cries’. The latter song being released in support of the efforts of Amnesty International to stop rape as a weapon of war, as well as in recognition of its part in establishing the International Criminal Court.
