To book a dining experience at Peggy’s during one of our events, please visit our events page and purchase a seated ticket for that evening. Tables are automatically allocated with any seated ticket purchase. Each seat has a table or bar where you can order food and drink with table service. We have live music events from Wednesday to Sunday, showcasing some stunning national and international  jazz artists, as well as soul, blues, world music, international folk & more. If you’ve not been before, it’s a unique and fantastic way to dine.

If you have any dining enquiries re large groups or any special requirements re table seating, accessibility, or diet/allergy, please contact us using the form on this page, or by phone on 0115 9240176. (Please note that we often cannot answer the phone, and would suggest email is the best way to ensure the quickest response). bookings@peggysskylight.co.uk

If you would like to request seating in a particular section please view our seating plan and let us know your section choice (eg. “Duke”) using the form during your ticket purchase process, or by email at bookings@peggysskylight.co.uk, along with the details of your booking number, event name, and name/names of guests in your party.

Whilst we can guarantee that you will have a table and will do our best to allocate to individual requests, we cannot guarantee exactly where as we do our best to fulfil all customers requirements on the evening.

For some artists we are able to have more than one show per evening. On these occasions we usually split the evening into Twilight and Highlight shows.

Twilight shows are usually a shorter performance, and a cheaper ticket, with a slightly smaller menu. This is a great way to start your evening, and enjoy one of our top acts without having to stay out late. You will normally have to vacate your table in time for the later performance.

Highlight shows however, include a longer performance, where our full a la carte menu will be available. For true fans this is a fuller offering and you can stay till we close!

We currently offer a limited amount of concessionary rate tickets on selected shows (please check individual listings). These are available for anyone under 26; over 65; receiving Universal Credit or in possession of a current NUS card.

If concessionary tickets are purchased alongside standard tickets, then you will all be seated together. Should your booking consist entirely of concessionary tickets then we will do our best to have you seated in your preferred section, but if the event fills up then seating priority will go to those who have purchased standard tickets.

  • Artists interested in performing at Peggy’s , please use our artist contact form
  • Please include links to YouTube or Vimeo, short description, press quotes, social media links. (If you have a higher profile on a particular platform, do let us know)
  • It’s so much easier to book artists with good quality video, and really important to have engaging images (or at least one). These should really be at least 1 MB.
  • It’s useful to know if you’re planning a tour, or whether you are flexible with dates. (It’s unlikely that we’ll be able to fit you on one particular date, so please suggest several that could work)
  • If you’re applying for, or have secured funding, it’s also useful to know this, and the status of your application.
  • Usually, we program:
    Jazz on Thursdays & Saturdays
Blues, Soul, Funk & World Music on Fridays,
‘New Generation Jazz’, Crossover/Fusion on Wednesdays,
Jazz & Blues on Sunday afternoon,
Folk & Contemporary Jazz on Sunday Evenings
  • We aim to have the program booked 4 months ahead
  • We receive a lot of submissions, so please make everything as clear as possible, and accept our apologies if we don’t get back to you. It’s always worth sending another message if you’ve not heard anything after 3-4 weeks – we are trying our best to keep up!

We do allow under-18’s into the venue, and welcome family groups, granted that any children attending are not disruptive during the performances, and that parents and/or guardians take full responsibility for their children. We reserve the right to ask anyone to leave if they are repeatedly disturbing other customers, or the show.

For families with quite young children (i.e. under-13), we would typically recommend booking tickets for a Twilight session (5–7:30pm) or for a weekend lunch session (Saturdays & Sundays, 12–4pm). Tickets will still need to be purchased for any children requiring a seat – babies and young toddlers still sitting in a pram or on an adult’s lap do not require a ticket. Please note that we do not currently have any baby changing facilities, but do have an accessible toilet and a green room that may be available if needed.

Interested in booking Peggy’s for your group on one of our event nights?

Here’s what we could arrange for you (subject to availability):

  • If you would like to sit within the main auditorium we can arrange for adjacent tables of up to 8.

  • Alternatively, we can offer private seating in Satchmo (adjacent to the main auditorium) for a table of up to 14; or
Private seating in Ella  (adjacent to the main auditorium) for up to 20 people on adjacent tables.

Ella/Satchmo are great choices if you want to have a bit more of a chat with your table as the main auditorium is more sensitive to noise.

Please see the venue floor plan here

NOTE: We do always ask our tables to be mindful and respectful of noise levels as we do have intimate performances and love for all our customers to enjoy the amazing acts we have on each week!

Drop us an email at bookings@peggysskylight.co.uk and we can discuss further.

We do offer private hire of the whole venue for larger groups, although NOT for the public events programme. If you’re interested to hire the venue on a different day (usually Mondays, Tuesdays, weekday daytimes, and sometimes Sunday evening)  follow this link to make an enquiry  peggysskylight.co.uk/private-hire/
(Please note: this is not for events where tickets will be on sale to the public. If you are an event promoter, please contact artists@peggysskylight.co.uk)
