Sven Jungbeck Trio
Sven Jungbeck (guitar) formed this trio with Fredi Gebhardt (guitar) and Volker Kamp (bass) in 2020.
He started his career in gypsy jazz in 2010 opening up a tour in Poland with his Quintet for the British star guitarist Robin Nolan.
Since 2015 he has been playing worldwide with the Joscho Stephan Trio together with bassist Volker Kamp and gained notoriety on the scene through his 27k followers YouTube channel which belongs to the 4 most important channels in the style of Gypsy Jazz.
In 2022 he released the CD ‘Invites’ where he gathered an all-star ensemble of gypsy jazz musicians and recorded beside Robin Nolan, Paulus Schäfer, Olli Soikelli, and Wawau Adler even with Gypsy Jazz legend Jimmy Rosenberg, who himself played with Stephen Grappelli as a child.
Fredi Gebhardt is a highly-rated talent on the German Jazz scene and released his debut CD ‘On Set’ this year. He played with great artists like Costel Nitescu, Wawau Adler, and Joscho Stephan and was, together with Jungbeck, invited to the Midwest swing festival in Madison (USA).
Gebhardt and Jungbeck both compose for the trio and that creates an exciting mix. While Jungbeck’s songs are more settled in the latin and traditional European aspect of gypsy Jazz, Gebhardt is more into modern jazz. Volker Kamp, through his longtime engagement in the Joscho Stephan Trio belongs to the most famous bassists on scene and played and recorded with greats such as Bireli Lagrene, Tommy Emmanuel and Stochelo Rosenberg.
The repertoire of the trio is a wide mix of traditional European music, Django Reinhardt songs, contemporary jazz and even pop influences.
And of course, it’s all about the virtuosity of the gypsy guitars!

TICKET TYPES
- General Admission (main seating area) – You can request to be seated in ‘Billie’ (front of stage), ‘Dizzy’ (raked theatre), ‘Mingus’ (near piano) or ‘Duke’ (side wall) and we will do our best to allocate you to your chosen seats
- General Admission (Ella/Satchmo seating area) – you can request to be seated in ‘Ella’ (by the fireplace) or ‘Satchmo’ (by the windows). Please note, a few of these seats have a restricted view
- Though we can guarantee that you will have a table, we cannot guarantee exactly where, as we do our best to fulfil all customers requirements
- All seats are at a table or bar where you can order food and drink with table service
- If you are hoping to combine bookings or join an existing booking then please let us know in advance as we cannot guarantee that changes to our table plan will be possible on the night
