Nottingham based jazz drummer Andrew 'Woody' Wood presents a concert celebrating the music of one of the most influential jazz saxophonists; Sonny Rollins, in particular his seminal album Saxophone Colossus (1956).

Joining Andrew will be a band consisting of some of the most prominent jazz instrumentalists in the region, featuring Simon Paterson (double bass) & Paul Deats (piano). The quartet is completed by Leeds based tenor saxophonist Eliot Richards.

Expect to hear classics from this breakthrough album including 'St Thomas' & 'Mack The Knife' as well as other well known and rare material composed by Sonny Rollins
