'Tom Syson's creativity, as a composer and instrumentalist, leaves one in no doubt as to his bright future in contemporary jazz. He's surely here to stay.’ -London Jazz News

Vincent Bach artist Tom Syson is a highly regarded trumpeter and composer based in the UK.

In January 2019 he recorded his 2nd album, ‘Different Coloured Days’ at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios, which he released alongside a UK tour in May 2019. ‘Different Coloured Days’ has received a large amount of press coverage, including radio plays on BBC Radio 3 and JazzFM

Tom also held the lead trumpet chair in the European Radio Jazz Orchestra 2018, the National Youth Jazz Orchestra and the Birmingham Jazz Orchestra, as well performing with the London Jazz, Ronnie Scott’s Jazz and the Syd Lawrence Orchestras.

'Syson’s creative flair is apparent on some entrancing originals with their pastorally melodic twists and turns and his quite stimulating three-dimensional soloing. There’s no doubt we’ll be hearing plenty more from Tom Syson in the near future.’ -Jazzwise
