Alvorada are an award-winning quintet playing Brazilian instrumental music inspired by the choro tradition. From their original compositions to classics of the genre, Alvorada’s shows are filled with lively and expressive melodies combined with infectious Brazilian grooves and playful interaction. Alvorada unites top musicians from London and Brazil, whose diverse backgrounds – including jazz, classical and Brazilian music – lend the group a unique edge.
Alvorada has performed at festivals and venues across the UK and beyond, with sell-out shows at the London Jazz Festival, Pizza Express Live and Paris International Choro Festival. Their debut album First Light, released in 2019, was received with much critical acclaim (5* Songlines magazine), leading to BBC Radio 3 and JazzFM appearances. Alvorada also won the LUKAS and Focus Brasil awards for ‘Best Brazilian Band’.
Their latest album Faz Tempo is a bold and rich work with intricate arrangements of original compositions, featuring the piano of Roee Ben Sira and Vitor Gonçalves on accordion. The album includes Brazilian rhythms such as choro, xote, samba, bossa nova and baião, with jazz and improvisation peppering their sound. Faz Tempo will be released with ARC Music in October 2024

- All seats are at a table or bar where you can order food and drink with table service.
- Main seating area – You can request to be seated in ‘Billie’ (front of stage), ‘Dizzy’ (raked theatre), ‘Mingus’ (near piano) or ‘Duke’ (side wall) and we will do our best to allocate you to your preferred seats.
- Window seating areas – you can request to be seated in ‘Ella’ (larger window area) or ‘Satchmo’ (smaller window area). Please note, a few of these seats have a slightly restricted view.
- Though we can guarantee that you will have a table for the Dining Show, we cannot guarantee exactly where, as we do our best to fulfil all customers requirements.
- If you are hoping to combine bookings with somebody else or join an existing booking then please let us know in advance as we cannot guarantee that changes to our table plan will be possible on the night.
